If you see the beautiful television series "My brilliant friend" you would not believe it, but not far from the gray popular houses they make good wine and they are not banal wines, but wines with a thoughtful kindness.
The red grape of the house here is Aglianico. I had heard once that the wines made with Aglianico are the southern Barolos; "no no," said a farmer who produces aglianico, "barolo is aglianico of the north!"
It seems a Neapolitan exaggeration, but pride is justified. Just as the Barolo at first contact it is distant and haughty, but give it time and a friendly smile will appear. In addition there are smells of fruit, spices, espresso, walnuts and crackling parquet. The tannins are firm, the aftertaste is clean. The principles are strict and the heart of gold.
